- Identify strategic locations for new biomethane plants.
- Assess access, energy infrastructure and proximity to organic resources.
- Technical and economic feasibility analysis
- Assess the types and volumes of available waste.
- Support the design of initial financial models.
- Engagement with key stakeholders
- Negotiate with landowners and local stakeholders.
- Establish agreements with biomass suppliers (farms, industries, etc.).
- Liaise with local authorities and communities.
- Technical coordination
- Oversee technical studies and preliminary designs with engineering firms and consultancies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance from the early design stages.
- Support with permitting and financing
- Prepare technical and administrative documentation for permits.
- Support access to public funding programmes (PERTE, NextGen, etc.).
- Support through the "Ready to Build" stage
- Coordinate the delivery of documentation and the conditions required to start construction.
Profile requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering (Agricultural, Chemical, Industrial, Forestry), Biology or similar.
- At least 5–7 years’ experience in business development or project management in the energy or environmental sector.
- Knowledge of Spain’s renewable energy regulatory framework.
- Experience in investment analysis and project permitting.
- Strong ability to liaise with public and private entities and local communities.

- ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITTING SPECIALIST – BIOGAS/BIOMETHANE PROJECTS (CLOSED)
Position description

Are you passionate about sustainability and want to be part of the energy transition on the ground? We are looking for an Environmental Technician with proven experience in environmental permitting for renewable projects—especially biomethane plants—and strong ability to liaise with public authorities and local stakeholders.
You will provide direct support to the Environmental Director within the Engineering and Construction area, ensuring projects’ environmental compliance and technical liaison with public authorities across different regions of the country.
- Environmental permitting
- Coordinate and review Environmental Impact Studies (EIA/DIA).
- Assess and obtain permits: Integrated Environmental Authorisation (AAI), DIA, planning compatibility, use of rural land, etc., energy infrastructure and proximity to organic resources.
- Monitor compliance with regional, national and European environmental legislation.
- Document management and sector-specific permits
- Liaison with River Basin Authorities, ministries, town councils and other entities.
- Manage authorisations: protected natural areas, water, works, etc.
- Environmental supervision during construction
- Coordinate the environmental monitoring plan.
- Monitor actual impacts on the natural environment.
- Liaison and advisory
- Participate in public participation processes and prior consultations.
- Issue technical reports for the project developer.
- Liaise with public authorities at all levels.
Profile requirements:
- University degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering (Chemical, Agricultural, Forestry, Industrial) or Biology.
- At least 3 years’ experience in environmental permitting for energy projects.
- Knowledge of regional, national and European environmental regulations.
- Strong ability to liaise with public bodies and local stakeholders.
- Proficiency in tools such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD (a plus).
- Availability for occasional travel within Spain.

We are looking for an intern to support the evaluation, structuring and monitoring of sustainable projects in renewable energy, biogas, biomethane and biofertilisers. You will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with technical, financial and impact profiles.

Key responsibilities
- Market research: sector analysis, regulatory trends and investment opportunities.
- Investment analysis and due diligence: assessment of companies and projects, risk analysis and impact metrics.
- Financial modelling: projections, valuations, scenarios and return/risk analysis.
- Support in strategy and negotiation: financial materials and participation in meetings with partners and investors.

- Strong academic record and currently in the final years of a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably at ICADE (E3 Analytics, E2, Business Administration) or ICAI (Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering or similar), or equivalent programmes with a technical and financial focus.

- Paid internship, with the possibility of a university agreement.
- Duration: 6 months, full-time.

- Possibility to combine with a bachelor’s/master’s thesis (TFG/TFM) under the supervision of the investment team.
