Promotion of the circular economy

The plants solve the problem of agricultural and livestock waste, valorize it, and transform it into clean, renewable energy, while also producing biofertilizers, closing the resource loop. They contribute to the modernization of the primary sector and boost the local economy.

Decarbonization and EU Energy Transition

The 2030 Agenda and its decarbonization objective set a regulatory path that directly affects rural areas. Biomethane plants facilitate compliance with increasingly stringent regulations on waste management and organic farming.

Energy Independence

Biomethane is an essential vector in Spain's energy transition. It has a high energy content similar to natural gas and is injected directly into the national gas grid, creating clean energy locally and replacing fossil-origin gas. This contributes to Spain's energy independence. For example, a medium-sized plant producing 21 GWh/year supplies the energy needed by 4,200 Spanish households.

Reduction of greenhouse gases (GHG)

The plant prevents the natural decomposition of organic waste, which significantly reduces the emission of COâ‚‚ and methane, a gas with a climate impact 28 times greater than that of carbon dioxide. For example, a medium-sized plant producing 21 GWh/year avoids the same emissions as 1,500 cars driving around the world each year.

Aquifer Regeneration

The valorization of waste allows for the stabilization of digestate components, reducing nitrate load. Its higher organic matter content retains nutrients at the surface, optimizing crops and preventing leaching that contaminates aquifers. The entire biomethane plant process is zero discharge and recirculates 100% of the water, which comes from waste and rainwater.

Agricultural soil regeneration

The biomethane production process yields a stabilized digestate that is transformed into biofertilizer, adapted to the agronomic needs of each environment, and improves soil quality by returning high quantities of organic matter and nutrients.

Improves air quality

The collection and treatment of agricultural and livestock waste prevents its exposure to open air, eliminating unpleasant odors and significantly improving quality of life in nearby communities. Biomethane production requires very high quality and safety standards to be profitable. We invest in cutting-edge technologies that guarantee the complete absence of odors in a fully sealed process at all stages.

Ecosystem Regeneration

Our focus is the protection and care of blue and green ecosystems. Our plants are not only carbon neutral but carbon negative in emissions. Maintaining the balance of soil and aquifers facilitates the regeneration of local ecosystems and protects biodiversity and hunting and fishing resources.

Revitalization of rural areas

A biomethane plant project contributes to the fight against depopulation, strengthening the social and economic fabric in the rural areas where it is implemented. Additionally, it promotes the modernization of agriculture, facilitating new productive and social initiatives in the region.

Local economic impact

The investment required for a biomethane plant project amounts to several million euros. The companies are established in the project localities. This boosts the local economy with a direct impact on the municipal budget through construction licenses and business activity taxes throughout the plant's lifetime (at least 25 years).

Job Creation

The boost to local employment provided by a biomethane plant project is more than 35 people during the construction phase and 6 to 15 people during the operation and maintenance phase, for at least 25 years, prioritizing local employment.

Social innovation

From the very beginning, we work to promote the social integration of projects in communities, fostering opportunities for local investment, citizen participation, and collaboration on social projects. We seek to ensure that project benefits are distributed equitably, reflected not only in figures but also in the quality of life of local residents.

Affordable and clean energy: We produce biomethane from organic waste, offering a renewable, local, and sustainable energy source that can be injected into the existing gas grid or used in distributed form (LNG, CNG, etc.)

We assist in the management of agricultural and livestock waste and transform waste into resources, closing the production cycle through digestate valorization and reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers

Industry, innovation, and infrastructure. Biomethane plants are an essential vector for the development of rural areas, promoting sustainable production and facilitating innovation in rural areas and surrounding businesses. This ensures long-term economic and social development with quality employment

Decent work and economic growth. Biomethane plants create quality jobs directly and indirectly for more than 25 years, and we always prioritize local employment. Additionally, taxes in local municipalities drive improvements in citizens' quality of life. Economic growth is decoupled from environmental degradation.
